Systematize and Automate the IT Governance Process

The objective of this research project is to create a prototype tool to systematize and automate the IT governance process of an organization. This project will be developed through several macro-activities:

1. Integration of Frameworks and ISO standards and creation of an Architecture/Framework and common Maturity Model;

2. Definition of a questionnaire to assess the stage of development;

3. Definition of a System of Recommendations;

4. Development of software that integrates the previous components;;

5. Software testing.

The first three macro-activities stand out, since it is in them that the main activities of research and development and innovation take place:

1. There is currently no integration model of the various existing ISO frameworks and norms, nor even a common Maturity Model, which results in overlaps and uncovered areas. The creation of an integration model would make it possible to take advantage of the diagnoses and recommendations of one norm that overlaps each other, significantly reducing implementation times and security. In this macro-activity we will try to develop this integration model and create a maturity model that allows continuous improvement and evolution within the organization.

In this activity an intelligent and automated systematic evaluation tool will be developed to determine the stage of development of the organization. This tool will have on its basis an ontological analysis and a battery of issues specifically developed to make a large part of the necessary survey. It is also hoped that there will be a learning capacity with accumulated experience and that the areas that need a more dedicated dedication will be indicated to ensure an adequate survey.

The tool will be smart, with the ability to choose the questions to put considering the information already available and the one that needs to make the assessment of maturity.

3. In this activity will be defined a Recommendation System to do Business Analysis, recognizing based on the information collected the current status (as-is) and mapping the actions to take to reach a new target state (to-be).
